Goddard Seeks Proposals for Next Generation Earth Observation Satellite
NASA Goddard has released a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Landsat 10 Spacecraft, marking a major milestone in the continuation of the decades-long partnership between NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to acquire and distribute multispectral imagery of Earth’s global landmasses and coastal regions. The scope of work includes the design, fabrication, and testing of the satellite bus, as well as the integration of the government-furnished Landsat Instrument Suite. The final RFP is expected to be released at the end of June 2026, with proposals due roughly 30 days thereafter. This development was reported on the official US government website.
