Legislators Greenlight Trio Of Measures To Speed Up US Weaponry Exports
The House Foreign Affairs Committee has cleared three bills aimed at speeding up the process for countries to buy US weaponry, including the PORCUPINE Act, which streamlines arms sales to Taiwan. The committee voted down a measure that would have loosened restrictions on Foreign Military Financing (FMF) dollars. The approved bills are set to be considered on the House floor on June 8, according to HFAC chairman Brian Mast. The developments were first reported by Breaking Defense.
