European Space Agency Advances Science On A Budget
The European Space Agency (ESA) has approved two new Scout science missions, Hibidis and SOVA-S, which will be developed at a cost of less than €35M ($40.7M) each and launched within three years. Hibidis will use a hyperspectral imager to study life underneath forest canopies, while SOVA-S will investigate light emissions in the upper atmosphere to better understand atmospheric gravity waves. The missions demonstrate the ESA’s commitment to delivering impactful science and technology quickly and efficiently, as reported by Payload Space.
