European Planemaker Faces Challenges in US Parts Factory
Airbus has informed some customers of further delays to A350 deliveries, primarily due to ongoing problems in securing critical fuselage parts from its recently acquired US parts factory. The company’s A350 Freighter program, however, remains on schedule for its first flight later this year and first delivery in 2027. According to industry sources, the transition of the Kinston factory, which produces composite panels for the A350’s upper fuselage, has been hampered by staffing issues.
