New Cloud-Based Platform To Enhance Safety And Reliability
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has completed the initial phase of its NOTAM system transition, with the NOTAM Management Service now operational. The new cloud-based platform replaces two older user interfaces, the US NOTAM System and the Federal NOTAM System, and is intended to improve safety and reduce operational disruptions. The next phase of the transition is expected to take place later this year, with the retirement of the Federal NOTAM System. According to the FAA, the new system will greatly improve safety and transform the management of aeronautical information, as reported by FlightGlobal.
