Porter Airlines Launches at Montreal Metropolitan Airport

Canadian Carrier Expands Domestic Network with New Terminal

Porter Airlines is set to become the launch carrier at Montreal Metropolitan Airport’s brand new terminal, launching 12 domestic routes out of the airport starting June 15, 2026. The airline will operate a mix of De Havilland Dash 8-400 turboprops and Embraer E195-E2 jets, offering nonstop connections to most Canadian metropolitan areas. The new terminal, a C$450 million investment, is expected to change the airport’s limited commercial service and offer an alternative to Montréal Trudeau International Airport. This development is part of Porter Airlines’ growth strategy, which has seen the carrier evolve from a regional operator to a nation-wide player with a fleet of over 50 Embraer E195 E2 jets. The expansion was first reported by AeroTime.
