Jetstar Introduces BidCash Upgrade Bidding for Business Class

Australian Carrier Offers Customers Chance to Bid for Premium Seats

Australian low-cost carrier Jetstar has launched a new upgrade bidding product called BidCash, allowing customers to bid for Business Class seats on most Boeing 787 international flights. The launch coincides with the completion of a major interior refit on the first of Jetstar’s 11 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, featuring 44 new Business Class seats. The refreshed cabin includes new seating designed for comfort on longer international routes, with amenities such as in-flight Wi-Fi and entertainment. Under the BidCash system, eligible customers can submit a cash bid for upgrades, with plans to expand the product to Qantas Frequent Flyer members. This development was first reported by AeroTime.
