French Consortium Bids to Replace Aging Rocket Artillery Capability
ArianeGroup has confirmed it is developing a 150-kilometer tactical rocket with Thales as part of France’s FLP-T long-range land strike effort. The FLP-T 150 rocket is designed to reach 150 kilometers with sub-decametric precision and resilience in jammed environments. A first demonstrator is planned for the first half of 2026. The development is part of France’s effort to replace its aging rocket artillery capability, with the remaining Lance-Roquettes Unitaire systems due to reach the end of their service life in 2027.
