Anduril Tapped for Autonomous Submarine Project

Navy Partners with Anduril on Combat Autonomous Maritime Platform

The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and the US Navy have selected Anduril to participate in the Combat Autonomous Maritime Platform Project (CAMP) with its prototype autonomous submarine, known as Dive-XL. The contract includes conducting a long-range demonstration within four months of the contract award. Anduril’s Dive-XL prototype is similar to the Ghost Shark Extra Large Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (XL-AUVs) the company is currently delivering to the Royal Australian Navy. The CAMP program aims to quickly prototype and field XL-AUVs, and Anduril’s selection may accelerate the development of unmanned systems in the maritime domain, as reported by Breaking Defense.
