Algerian Flag Carrier Expands Narrowbody Fleet with New 737 MAX 8 Order

Air Algérie has ordered 10 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, set to arrive in summer 2026, as part of its fleet renewal efforts. The airline is replacing older Boeing 737NGs and supplementing its short- and medium-haul fleet. This order is part of Air Algérie’s efforts to modernize its fleet and expand its international route network. The airline previously committed to eight 737 MAX 9s at the 2023 Paris Air Show. Air Algérie is also renewing its long-haul fleet with Airbus A330-900s. The carrier has a fleet of 27 Boeing 737NGs, five Airbus A320s, ATR 72 turboprops, and Airbus A330s.
