New Technology Replaces Paper System For Enhanced Safety
The FAA has introduced a new digital flight strip system at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, replacing the traditional paper-based system with a digital platform developed by Leidos. The system, part of the Terminal Flight Data Manager program, aims to optimize aircraft movements, reduce delays, and improve safety. According to Leidos, the deployment reached operational status 45% faster than expected, and the FAA plans to expand the program to additional airports. This development was first reported by AeroTime.
