Turkish Shipbuilder Partners with Local Firm for Naval Platforms

Turkish shipbuilder ARES Shipyard is planning to establish a new company in Saudi Arabia, dubbed ARES Naval, in partnership with local firm Sat-el Arab. The company aims to establish two shipyards in Dammam and Jeddah, focusing on manufacturing naval platforms and providing maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to support the Saudi Navy and Coast Guard. ARES Shipyard’s CEO, Guzhan Pehlivanli, stated that the company’s goal is to have a stronger presence in the GCC region, with the Saudi partnership being a key step in this direction.
