Private Equity Firm Expands Aviation Services Portfolio
Private investment firm Bain Capital has acquired APP Jet Center, a five-location fixed-base operator platform in the US, marking its entry into the aviation services infrastructure sector. APP Jet Center operates at airports in South Florida, Washington D.C., Denver, and the San Francisco Bay Area, providing aircraft fueling, hangar facilities, and aviation office space. The company will be led by former Signature Aviation CEO Mark Johnstone, who plans to focus on strengthening the existing network before expanding into additional markets.
