XTI Aerospace Expands Vertical Flight Capabilities with Drone Nerds Acquisition
XTI Aerospace has acquired Drone Nerds, a US drone distributor, in a $40 million deal. Unusual Machines, a Florida-based drone manufacturer, invested $25 million in XTI. Drone Nerds will continue to operate under its own brand as part of XTI’s strategy. The acquisition gives XTI a foothold in the US drone market and adds a new revenue stream. The TriFan 600 VTOL development program continues, with the aircraft aiming for business aviation and regional transport markets.
