Saudi Arabian Carrier Seeks Fuel Efficiency and Reliability for New Aircraft
Riyadh Air has confirmed an order for 120 CFM International LEAP-1A engines to power 60 Airbus A321neo family aircraft. The order, signed on November 18, 2025, at the Dubai Airshow, includes spare engines. CFM LEAP-1A engines feature a high-pressure turbine durability kit, designed to extend operational time in hot regions. Riyadh Air will take advantage of the engines’ fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and enhanced durability. The airline’s new A321neo fleet will benefit from the latest engine technology.
