Qatar Airways Boosts Saudi Network with New Destinations and Increased Frequency

Qatar Airways announced plans to launch new flights to Hail, Jeddah, and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, starting January 5, 2026. The airline will operate three weekly flights to Hail, seven daily flights to Jeddah and Riyadh, and serve 13 destinations in the country with over 150 weekly flights. The expansion is part of a successful year for Qatar Airways in Saudi Arabia, which included the resumption of flights to Abha International Airport and the launch of non-stop flights to The Red Sea. The airline’s CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, stated that the network now spans every major region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, connecting nearly 2.5 million passengers to its global network. This announcement was made during a panel discussion at the TOURISE Global Tourism Summit 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
