EDGE Group, a major Emirati defense contractor, showcased several new systems and announced major deals and partnerships at the Dubai Airshow. The company’s CEO, Hamad Al Marar, emphasized the importance of exports in covering 50% of its expenses. A $7 billion cooperation agreement with Indonesia’s Republikorp is the largest international program to date, and EDGE is looking to penetrate the US market. The company has a presence in over 100 countries and is engaged in talks with North African nations and Sub-Saharan Africa.
