Libyan Carrier Joins Airbus A320neo Family

Buraq Air has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for 10 A320neo jets at the Dubai Airshow. The Libyan carrier plans to modernize its fleet with the efficient and flexible A320neo aircraft. Airbus will support Buraq Air’s strategic expansion plan. This marks a significant step forward for Buraq Air, according to Fouzi Almiqalh, General Assembly President of Buraq Air. The agreement was signed on November 19, 2025, by Almiqalh and Benoit de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business. According to ch-aviation, Buraq Air currently operates a single Boeing 737-800. The A320neo family has won over 11,300 orders from 150 customers worldwide.
