Archer Aviation to Offer Electric Powertrain to Other Manufacturers

Archer Aviation Expands into New Business Line with Omen Powertrain Deal

Archer Aviation has signed a powerplant supply agreement with Anduril Industries and UAE defense group EDGE to provide its proprietary electric powertrain for the Omen autonomous air vehicle. The deal marks the first time Archer has made its in-house powertrain available to another manufacturer. The company plans to use the technology to expand its business line and may seek additional deals with other aircraft makers. The announcement was made at the Dubai Airshow on November 17, 2025. The powertrain is being used in the Omen system, which is being developed by Anduril and EDGE in the UAE. Archer has committed to manufacturing the powertrain in the US, with a focus on domestic production and supply chain development. The company’s founder and CEO, Adam Goldstein, said the deal is the first of ‘many’ to come, indicating a growing focus on licensing its technology to other manufacturers.
