Abu Dhabi Unveils Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aircraft Network
Abu Dhabi has launched the world’s first vertiport network, connecting key destinations with electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The initiative, announced on November 10, 2025, aims to provide fast, low-emission travel options and promote sustainable transport. The network will include over ten public vertiports, with the first eVTOL flights expected in 2026. The project is a collaboration between the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, the General Civil Aviation Authority, the Integrated Transport Centre, and Abu Dhabi Airports.
