Firefly Aerospace Partners with Honeybee Robotics for Lunar Rover Mission

Firefly Aerospace and Honeybee Robotics Team Up for Gruithuisen Gamma Dome Exploration

Firefly Aerospace has partnered with Honeybee Robotics to provide a lunar rover for its upcoming mission to the Gruithuisen Gamma Dome. The rover will carry NASA instruments to investigate the unique composition of the Gruithuisen Domes. Firefly’s Blue Ghost lander will deploy the rover, which will travel along the southern edge of the Gruithuisen Gamma Dome and through a boulder field to reach the rim of a recent impact crater. The mission is part of Firefly’s third mission to the Moon, following successful landings in Mare Crisium and operations in lunar orbit. Firefly Aerospace is an end-to-end responsive space company with launch, lunar, and on-orbit services, and Honeybee Robotics is a vertically integrated aerospace and robotics company focused on developing components and systems for space exploration. This partnership was first reported by Firefly Aerospace.
