Families of US Soldiers Killed in Syria Demand Justice and Compensation
Military families of US soldiers killed in Syria are demanding that the Department of Justice distribute nearly $800 million in forfeited funds from Lafarge, a French cement company found guilty of bribing ISIS. The company pleaded guilty to paying $17 million to the Islamic State group to keep a plant in Syria open and paid $777 million to the US DOJ in 2022. The families, who are part of a lawsuit against Lafarge, are seeking compensation for their losses. The case was first reported by Fox News.
