Firefly Aerospace completed risk reduction testing for Miranda engine components ahead of the first hot fire scheduled this summer. The testing was conducted using data from over 500 Reaver and Lightning engine tests, accounting for more than two hours of run-time. Firefly’s CEO, Bill Weber, stated that the company is making significant progress in the development of its Miranda engines. The Miranda engine will power the Medium Launch Vehicle (MLV) co-developed with Northrop Grumman. The company’s culture of rapid design and iteration enables it to meet the MLV’s schedule with a cost-effective, high-performing solution.
