Pilatus Delivers First PC-21 to Spanish Air Force

Pilatus Wins Contract for Advanced Training System in Spain

The Spanish Ministry of Defence has taken delivery of the first PC-21 from Pilatus, which will be integrated into the 792 Squadron at the Spanish Air Force Academy. The training system, which includes simulators, computer-based training, and virtual reality tools, is expected to reduce training costs by 50%. Pilatus will deliver a total of 24 PC-21s by June 2022. The contract was won in 2020, and the first aircraft was handed over in September 2021. Pilatus VP André Zimmermann commented on the delivery, stating the company is ‘delighted’ to see the PC-21 take to the skies in Spain.
