Firefly Aerospace to Establish Operations at Cape Canaveral Spaceport

Firefly Aerospace Expands Florida Presence with Launch and Manufacturing Facilities

Firefly Aerospace has announced plans to establish business operations at Cape Canaveral Spaceport, including launch operations at historic Space Launch Complex 20 and manufacturing facilities at Exploration Park, Florida. The company has executed a binding term sheet with Space Florida, which will enable it to invest $52 million and bring over 200 high-paying jobs to the state. Firefly’s presence in Florida further solidifies the state’s position as a leader in the space industry, and its launch and manufacturing capabilities are expected to support a rapidly expanding global small satellite revolution and the commercialization of cislunar space. The announcement was made concurrent with Firefly’s receipt of a Statement of Capability from the 45th Space Wing.
